Ensure timely and accurate movement of freight and information, while providing exceptional customer service.
Tasks and Duties
This section lists job-specific tasks and duties, such as the ones listed below, that are completed on a regular basis by the employee as noted in the “Customs Operational Performance Standards”.
- Understand the elements of the Import MAIR customs OPS
- Receive documents
- Confirm documents received are correct and system is updated with the relevant shipment type and event codes
- Ensure accurate and timely data entry into operating systems
- Monitor customs clearances and communicate with Customers
- Follow up internally to ensure files are customs cleared and communicate accordingly with client on exceptions
- Freight Dispatch
- Invoicing preparations
- Complete Invoicing – asper the OPA KPI
- Quote to be checked & billing to be completed
- Additional charges, approvals to be in place – to avoid AR challenges
- Customer Set-Up and maintenance
- Comply with customer SOP and update the SOP as required
- Exception Management
- Action all exceptions to the OPS process and advise relevant parties timeously
- Form and Documents (Event codes)
- Ensure all event are updated timely and accurately
- Expo Workboard
- Ensure files are actioned as per the KPI requirements of the work board
Qualifications:

- Global logistics industry knowledge
- Good computer skills (e.g., MS Excel, MS Word)
- Fluent in English
Previous experience in a similar role will be advantageous
